SkyPuffs is currently in pre-launch, but we’re giving players an early look at what’s to come! While the full game isn’t out yet, you can already start collecting special Companion Puffs and prepare for your first flight.
This page is a soft overview of gameplay features that are still being finalized. Exact mechanics may shift a little before launch — but here’s what you can expect when the skies open up!
How do SkyPuffs hatch?
Each SkyPuff begins life as a magical egg. When the time is right, the egg hatches into a brand new Puff, complete with a set of 8 traits inherited from its parents. Traits can include things like body type, wings, eyes, and other visible features.
Can I breed them?
Yes! Once your Puff is ready, it can be paired with another to produce an egg. Breeding depends on two key things: feeding and hunting. Your Puff needs both to reach full readiness.
What do they eat?
SkyPuffs refuel with something called Puff Fuel — a special blend of cloudstuff and starlight that keeps them energized. Keeping your Puff fueled is essential for both hunting and breeding.
What is hunting for?
Hunting lets your Puff chase down mischievous Sky Wisps — it’s how they gain experience and grow stronger. As they level up their hunting skill, the chances of a successful hunt increases, and they become ready to breed faster.
Hunting Levels also play a role in breeding. The higher your Puff ranks up, the better your chances of passing those hard-to-get traits.
Can I choose how my Puff looks?
While you can’t manually change a Puff’s appearance, you can breed toward specific looks! Each Puff’s traits come from its parents, so with careful planning, you can work toward your dream combinations over time. Some traits are rarer than others, and uncovering them is part of the fun.
What are Limited Edition Celestials?
Celestials are special Limited Edition Puffs only available during brief windows — once they’re gone, they’re gone. Each Celestial has exclusive trait combinations that can be passed down through breeding They’re fully playable, breedable, and extremely collectible.
What are Companion Puffs?
Companion Puffs are adorable, collectible versions of the Limited Edition Celestials. They’re available to pre-order players and as occasional gifts during promotions. They can’t breed or hunt, but they’re a fun way to show off your love for SkyPuffs before the game launches.
Important Note: Only pre-order Companion Puffs will receive a matching, breedable Celestial Puff when the game goes live.
